Our first house is under construction and the progress made by the builders is truly remarkable. As the saying goes, ‘a picture is worth a thousand words,’ so here are some updates from my visit on October 2, 2024.
The recently finished new roof, done in September, is a much-needed addition now the autumn rains are pouring down!
During my last visit in September, there was one large and somewhat impersonal room. It has since been transformed into two cosy bedrooms with plenty of natural light. We have upgraded all the doors to high-quality fire doors, and each room has been re-plastered in preparation for a fresh coat of paint. Once the children move in, we will assist them in customizing their bedrooms. For now, the builders will complete the décor in a neutral colour.
This bedroom is being completely refitted with an ensuite shower room.
Here, the upstairs bathroom is being removed and renovated from scratch.
