Welcoming Katy as the Reregistered Manager of Our New Children’s Home in Lincoln

We are thrilled to announce that we have appointed an accomplished social care professional with nearly three decades of experience, who will be joining our team in Lincoln as the Reregistered Manager for our new children’s home. Katy brings a wealth of expertise in managing residential care homes, leading improvement initiatives, and implementing innovative practices that enhance quality of care.

With a solid foundation in overseeing and mentoring staff, Katy excels in areas like supervision, training, appraisal, and budget management. Her skills in Quality Assurance are exemplary, demonstrated by her recent role as an Independent Visitor conducting Regulation 44 visits across 12 children’s homes in the East Midlands. Her commitment to maintaining the highest standards has made her an invaluable resource in the field.

Katy’s extensive knowledge of the Ofsted regulatory framework and her hands-on experience in setting up children’s homes from scratch make her ideally suited for this new role. She brings a strategic approach that aligns perfectly with our organisation’s mission and values.

Katy holds an NVQ Level 5 diploma in Leadership and Management for Children’s Residential Services and has completed safer recruitment training, further emphasizing her dedication to quality care. Known for her commitment to safeguarding, Katy has served as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and has completed comprehensive child protection training in Lincolnshire, ensuring the highest standards in the well-being and safety of the children she serves.
